Instructor Biographies

Karen W. Kissman is the owner and manager of The Werner Piano, Organ and Vocal Studio.

Mrs. Kissman says “We are proud of our commitment to excellence in music education. Our job as dedicated teachers is to equip our students with the skills necessary to enjoy music. Our studio continues to grow by referrals from our students. Many thanks!"

Karen W. Kissman, NCTM, instructor of piano, organ and voice is a nationally certified teacher of music. Certified by the Connecticut State Music Teachers Association, she holds a Permanent Professional Certificate in Piano from the Music Teachers National Association and is also listed in the Directory of Nationally Certified Teachers of Music. Her main focus is on her students and their growth and musical development.

Karen was inducted into the Manchester Arts Commission's 'Art Hall of Fame'. She was also presented an Official Citation from the members of the General Assembly of the State of Connecticut and the Board of Directors of the Town of Manchester for her dedication, advocacy and achievement in music.

Additionally, Mrs. Kissman is a member of The National Piano Foundation and the American Music Conference.












Tatayna Reykhel-Segal brings decades of teaching experience to the studio as a piano instructor. 

She is a member of the Connecticut State Music Teachers Association, The Music Teachers National Association and The National Piano Foundation. She is committed to providing excellence and professionalism to her students. At the age of 6, Mrs. Reykhel-Segal attended the Russian Music School where she studied with professor R.L. Abramson for nine years. She attended the Music College for four years, graduating with a major in piano. She then attended the Teachers University for five additional years, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She taught at the Music School and has taken organ lessons from Karen with a specialization in church liturgical music.

She performs at the Manchester Community Center and provides accompaniment for the choral group. She has also played at the Liberace Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada on the Museum Piano and the Cabaret Showroom Piano for Philip Fontenbery, the Museum Music Director.
